Announcing the Recap of Relatient

Background, Growth, and Recap of Relatient

Elsewhere Partners is excited to announce the private equity recapitalization of Relatient, the leading customer-rated patient engagement software, led by Elsewhere Operating Advisor Michele Perry. Over the last two and a half years, Michele, in conjunction with Elsewhere Partners and the Relatient management team, drove significant revenue growth and value creation at the company.

Michele was instrumental in helping identify and diligence the Relatient opportunity as an Elsewhere Operating Advisor. Post-investment, Michele subsequently agreed to join as CEO in November 2017. Michele had the ideal combination of healthcare domain expertise and operating experience relevant for Relatient’s growth opportunities. Previously, Michele was COO of GetWellNetwork (sold to Welsh, Carson, Anderson & Stowe) and CMO of SourceFire (sold to Cisco).

Under Michele's leadership, Relatient quadrupled new sales activity and improved retention across customer cohorts. Additionally, Relatient opened an impressive new office in Franklin, Tennessee, expanded its employee base, and completed the acquisition of Baltimore-based Everseat to expand the core product offering.

"Michele's domain knowledge and prior experience enabled her to optimize and scale Relatient's go-to-market, refine the product strategy, and improve the customer experience. She drove transformational growth at the company and is well-positioned to continue revolutionizing the space," commented Chris Pacitti, Founder & Partner at Elsewhere.

As a testament to the company's growth and success in the space, Relatient was named #398 fastest growing company in North America on Deloitte's 2019 Technology Fast 500, and was ranked #1 by KLAS' Patient Engagement Ecosystem 2019 Report with an overall performance score of 93.5.

Following the majority recapitalization of Relatient by private equity firm Brighton Park Capital, Michele continues to be actively involved with Elsewhere Partners as an Operating Advisor across both the current portfolio and investment pipeline.
