Zach Tanner Head of Portfolio Finance
Prior to Elsewhere Partners, Zach spent four and a half years at Rev.com, a venture-backed speech-to-text company, where he led the finance, accounting, IT/security, and revenue operations teams. Before Rev, Zach led accounting and FP&A at Compeat, where he helped build out the finance function en route to a successful exit to a strategic competitor. Earlier, Zach was with an Austin-based finance-as-a-service firm serving venture- and PE-backed SaaS companies, where he worked with more than 30 companies and simultaneously ran the full finance function for 12 software businesses — acting as the outsourced finance leader across monthly close, FP&A, fundraising, and board relations. Zach began his career in forensic financial consulting, where he spent five years on business valuations, lost profits and economic damages analyses, and white collar litigation matters.
Zach holds a BS in Finance and an MBA, both from the University of Alabama. Outside of the office, Zach enjoys music, movies, hiking, and cheering on Alabama football.
