Elsewhere Partners Continues to Expand Investment Team

Elsewhere Partners today announced the promotion of Cody Younkin to Senior Associate and the addition of three new investment team members as it continues to make investments in capital-efficient, growth-ready software companies. The growing Austin-based team will allow Elsewhere to provide a robust bench of seasoned resources for the firm’s portfolio while strategically growing its investment pipeline.

Joseph Braun, Ben Pfeffer and Ryan Wallace have joined the team as Investors and will work closely with the firm’s extensive operating advisor network to provide support across all stages of research, sourcing, due diligence, and execution for Elsewhere Partners’ current and future portfolio.

“There is still tremendous, untapped opportunity in the software sector. While others focus on trying to find unicorns, Elsewhere Partners remains committed to backing innovative software outliers that have proven their market potential while forging an unconventional investment path,” said Chris Pacitti, founder and partner at Elsewhere Partners. “We have been fortunate to find investment professionals who share our passion for patient, transitional capital and can bring fresh perspective, expert counsel and unwavering commitment to our team, our LPs and the entrepreneurs entrusting us with the future of their business.”

Before joining Elsewhere Partners as an Associate in 2021, Younkin spent four years in investment banking at D.A. Davidson where he executed M&A and growth equity transactions for technology companies across the B2B software, infrastructure, and security sectors. Prior to D.A. Davidson, he served as an equity research assistant at SGL Investment Advisors, where he helped develop internal software tools for investment decision making and assisted in portfolio analysis. Younkin earned his B.S. degree in Finance and Management Information Systems from the University of Montana in Missoula, where he graduated with high honors.

“The Elsewhere network is a formidable force in the software arena. Working with the Elsewhere Partners team to help software businesses reach their full potential has been tremendously rewarding,” added Younkin. “I am looking forward to more closely supporting our existing portfolio leaders to ensure they can achieve their short- and long-term vision, as well as helping founders and executive teams navigate all the steps involved with taking on capital for the first time as Elsewhere grows its portfolio.”

Prior to joining Elsewhere, Wallace was a Senior Associate at Cypress Growth Capital, where he was responsible for sourcing and executing investment opportunities, as well as supporting the firm’s existing portfolio companies. He previously served as an Analyst at both Anthos Capital and Cofounders Capital, where he supported enterprise software sourcing activities. He earned his B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Prior to joining Elsewhere, Braun held business development roles at Grata, a private company intelligence engine, and Selby Jennings, an executive search firm. He earned his B.A. from Tufts University. Pfeffer was previously the Director of Development at Notley, where he led philanthropic fundraising activities. He also was a Consultant at West Monroe Partners and an Analyst at Next Ventures. Pfeffer earned his B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin.
